Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has been encouraging fans to stay indoors amid nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, the actor shared a video of a doctor who works at Kasturba Hospital where most of the patients of Covid-19 are being treated in Mumbai.
Dr. Jitendra Nagar is heard saying, “Italy has the best medical facilities and yet thousands have died there. USA which is a global superpower has seen hundreds of people lose their lives to the virus. No government, masks or ventilators can save people. Only we can save ourselves as well as others by staying indoors."
Sharing the video, Varun wrote, "Kasturba hospital. Don’t listen to me main koi expert nahi hoon but listen to him he’s the head of battling corona at the Kasturba hospital in Mumbai."
Taking to his Instagram story, the actor said that we will overcome this time as well. He wrote, "We will overcome this. We really well have faith we will. It's going to be fine so do your part. Also, if this someone's dream, please wake up. We will be good."
India is currently placed under a 21-day lockdown after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement to combat the widespread outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
