The web streaming giant Netflix today, that is, on May 1, released the long-awaited crime thriller, Mrs Serial Killer, directed by Shirish Kunder, and co-produced by Farah Khan. While viewers were excited to see Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina in this 1 hour 47 minutes long flick, they were pleasantly surprised to see Aamir Khan’s niece and Mansoor Khan’s daughter Zayn Marie Khan in the movie as well. In fact, Mrs Serial Killer marks the acting debut of Zayn.
Mrs Serial Killer is the story of a renowned gynaecologist who is accused of murdering five unmarried pregnant girls. All the evidence is against him due to which his bail is rejected. With no other option in hand, the gynaecologist’s wife decides to commit a copycat crime to prove his innocence. While Manoj Bajpayee plays the gynaecologist, Jacqueline Fernandez plays the dutiful better half. Mohit Raina, meanwhile, essays the role of the cop. As for Zayn Marie Khan, she plays Anushka, who is selected by Jacqueline’s character Sona as her target. Zayn has a crucial part in the film and she stands out thanks to her stunts in the film. In fact, her action is remarkable and is sure to be the talking point as it’s rare to see an actress do such kind of fight scenes in Bollywood.
Incidentally, last year, there were reports that Zayn Marie Khan is debuting with a film. But the speculation was that she’s making her debut with a film directed by actor Imran Khan. Zayn had also posted an image of a script, which further added to the speculations.
Zayn has also worked as an assistant director, on Shakun Batra’s Kapoor & Sons.
