Neerja Bhanot was a brave heart and she holds a special place in Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s heart. The actress portrayed the role of Neerja in her biopic and was lauded for her gripping and moving performance. The model-air hostess sacrificed her life while saving the lives of many during a plane hijack. Becoming one of the most known names after her story was made into a biopic, Neerja Bhanot, in no time, became an idol.

With the world celebrating her birth anniversary today, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took to her Instagram to share a few pictures of Neerja and wrote a heartwarming message to mark the day.
