Govt took people-friendly decisions in first 100 days: Union Minister Javadekar

NDA government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many historic and path breaking initiatives in the first 100 days of its second term. No other government in the past has taken so many people-friendly decisions in its first 100 days in power.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar said the decisions taken by the government in its first 100 days have helped empower people, brought in more inclusiveness and transparency.

The Information and Broadcasting Minister said that J&K had been isolated for 70 years and no benefits were provided under any centre funded schemes.  After the abrogation of Art 370 these schemes will be implemented in J&K and people will be benefited.

Union Minister said that the govt ensured social justice taking several major steps including enacting lawa banning instant tripple talaq.

The Union Minister said, the decisions are aimed at empowering the farmers, poor, labourers, Schedule castes and Schedule tribes. The Minister said, several corrupt officials were weeded out as a boost to transparency. He said, there is no place for corruption in the country.

He exuded firm belief that India will become a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2025. The Minister said, the schemes like Housing for all, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat, doubling farmer's income and Ujjwala Yojana are some of the key steps taken by the government. He said, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has been extended to all the 6.37 crore farmers.
